Unique themed city walk about Bruges' medical history. Includes a delightful meal!
A healthy walk through the wealthy history of medicine in Bruges. All will be revealed about diseases, hospitals, the Black Death en all medical practices in the 16th and 17th century.
What is the connection between surgeons and barbers? Was bloodletting allowed at full moon? Why did one hide morticians in the tower? Could a Plague Saint still be of some help?
This walk brings you by some of the most gruesome details of Bruges’ medical science. Fascinating stories about disease, the hospitals and the medical care of the old ages. Plenty of anecdotes and of course a healthy snack and a very special drink to digest everything more easily.
On this formula a lot of adaptations are possible.
